Promoting Greener Pastures

Natural wildlife around the region is very much so at risk to constant suburban housing sprawl and unsustainable business growth. So much of America’s heritage and identity is reflected in our natural environment’s intrinsic beauty, stamina, and persistence. It is imperative that we continue in the steps John Muir and Theodore Roosevelt took in promoting the beginning of the environmental movement. We must protect land now to be able to utilize it in the future for its potential instrumental uses. For instance, Wolf Road Prairie Nature Preserve in Westchester is one of the largest and last remaining natural prairies in the country, and its only 80 acres!
